This is my longest standing ear worm of all time! Or should I say song worm in that I got into a habit of singing this song when alone...in the car....in the shower....anywhere that had a good acoustic! Tiled rooms regularly reverberated with the sound of this song! It captivated me after seeing Amy Winehouse sing it on the Jools Holland Show some 9 years ago...So it was that I was invited by Matt Little to appear on his 'Lady Blue' Album...squirrelled away in his penthouse studio we got to work, only laying down a couple of takes....so it is a very freshly squeezed performance! Bizarrely I have not sung it live...YET! Well, here it is...made famous by the amazing purring vibrato of Dinah Washington...beautifully evoked by Amy Winehouse and now...our 'one take' interpretation of a classic!
